Dealing players in exchange for cash is a common practice in the NBA. What isn’t common practice is what the Portland Trail Blazers did after the trade. The Trail Blazers traded guard Tim Quarterman to the Houston Rockets in exchange for cash considerations on Wednesday. Now normally you would hold a press conference introducing the newly acquired player to the media and the fans. However, the Blazers didn’t acquire a player in this trade. But that didn’t stop the Blazers from still holding a press conference for the bag of cash they received in exchange for Quarterman.
